The Honourable Company of Air Pilots Bursary Programme is to assist the successful individual, who might otherwise not have the necessary resources, to enhance and continue their career development as Flying Instructors.

The Guild flying scholarships provide a unique opportunity for people who would like to become pilots or to further their qualifications as pilots.

Promoting air-mindedness in the young by encouraging and assisting them to follow careers in aviation and the aerospace industry. Awarding scholarships and bursaries to assist deserving young people to learn to fly. Awarding engineering scholarships to assist deserving young people to gain experience of the aerospace industry.

Light Aircraft Association (LAA) - Armstrong/Issacs Foundation

The purpose of the Foundation is to provide a Flying Scholarship towards a private pilot's licence on a regulLAA-logoar basis to a young person between the ages of 17 and 21 at the date of application.  Applicants do need to be a student member of the LAA on application. 

There is no information yet available if  Flying Scholarship are on offer for 2016.

The Royal Aero Club Trust   Royal Aeroclub Trust

As part of its Flying for Youth Program (FfY) the Trust has a Bursary Scheme for young people between ages 16 and 21. This provides financial assistance for those wishing to upgrade their existing qualification in a wide range of air sports and aviation related activities.

The Bursaries are only available to help a young flyer build upon his or her existing flying skills, they are not available for ab-initio training.
